Deck overview

This is a mono-black Rat tribal swarm built around a critical mass of Rat Colony (25 copies) and classic Rat payoffs. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap Rats, pump them via lord effects and Colony's self-anthem, and push lethal combat under evasion from Cover of Darkness, Marrow-Gnawer, and Piper of the Swarm. Drain engines (Ayara, First of Locthwain, Bastion of Remembrance, Valley Rotcaller) convert chump blocks and sacrifice loops into table-wide life loss. A single infinite token line exists via Marrow-Gnawer plus Thornbite Staff. Rat King, Verminister is a low-curve value engine that grows whenever permanents leave and can mass-reanimate every Rat Colony from the graveyard at once, but the 99 already executes the swarm plan without him. Secondary angles include toxic pressure from Karumonix, the Rat King and ripple storms off Thrumming Stone.
