Deck overview

This Abzan deck uses partner commanders Sam, Loyal Attendant and Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit to build a resilient Food and lifegain engine. Sam creates Food tokens at combat and reduces their activation cost to a single mana, while Frodo converts that cheap lifegain into Ring tempt triggers and steady card advantage. The 99 amplifies this plan with token engines like Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, and Chatterfang, Squirrel General, turning Food generation into mana acceleration, card draw, and creature swarms. To finish the game, the deck uses potent drain pieces like Mirkwood Bats, an overrun with Night of the Sweets' Revenge, or two-card infinite combos including Rosie Cotton of South Lane with Scurry Oak and Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Enduring Tenacity. Efficient exile removal and board protection ensure the engine operates reliably.
