Deck overview

This Boros deck executes a focused Voltron and combat-multiplier strategy centered around Raiyuu, Storm's Edge. By leveraging the 'attacks alone' mechanic shared among Kamigawa Samurai and Warriors, the deck triggers an additional combat phase during its first combat step each turn. Early turns focus on deploying efficient ramp and Equipment like Lizard Blades, Two-Handed Axe, and Swiftfoot Boots. Once Raiyuu resolves on Turn 4, the commander swings twice each turn, rapidly compounding commander damage to eliminate one opponent at a time starting on Turn 5. Defensive pieces like Boros Charm, Deflecting Swat, and Akiri, Fearless Voyager shield the commander from removal. As a secondary win condition, the deck packs the classic Godo, Bandit Warlord and Helm of the Host combination to produce infinite combat steps and damage independently of the commander.
