Commander: Betor, Kin to All

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Betor, Kin to All leads an Abzan toughness-matters deck that converts high total defensive stats into card advantage, pseudo-vigilance, and lethal life-loss engines. The primary game plan ramps into high-toughness creatures like Indomitable Ancients and Tree of Perdition to cross Betor's toughness thresholds, particularly the 40-toughness end step trigger that halves opponent life totals. The deck leverages toughness-to-power combat assigners such as Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, and Felothar the Steadfast to push massive combat damage. It also closes out games cleanly via life-halving synergies combined with damage multipliers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Wound Reflection, or fully leveled Warlock Class.
