Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Boros Voltron and combat aggro strategy commanded by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning pairs native first strike, trample, and lifelink with her Stagger ability, which doubles all subsequent damage dealt to a player she damages. When combined with double strike or massive power buffs like Colossus Hammer, Lightning staggers the opponent on the first-strike damage step and doubles her regular combat damage step, eliminating players in a single swing. Fast mana artifacts and equipment tutors like Stoneforge Mystic and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary enable rapid deployment, while attachment cheats like Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist and Sigarda's Aid bypass heavy equip costs. The deck protects its lethal attacks using an extensive suite of defensive spells such as Deflecting Swat, Teferi's Protection, and Grand Abolisher, eliminating opponents one by one across consecutive combat steps.
