Deck overview

This Rakdos deck centers on Rowan, Scion of War to turn self-inflicted life loss into explosive bursts of mana velocity. The primary game plan accelerates into Rowan on turn 3, uses aggressive life-spending engines like Wall of Blood or Blood Celebrant on turn 4, and activates Rowan to discount generic mana costs by 30 or more. This mana surplus fuels lethal, table-wide finishers such as Crackle with Power or Exsanguinate in a single decisive turn. The deck supports this aggressive combo core with efficient tutors like Diabolic Intent, dedicated protection in Lightning Greaves and Bolt Bend, and versatile removal including Bedevil and Toxic Deluge. If Rowan faces persistent disruption, high-impact Demons and Dragons such as Bloodthirster, Terror of the Peaks, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater provide a resilient midrange beatdown backup plan. The list balances high-risk life expenditure with explosive, same-turn table finishes.
