Deck overview

Xavier Sal, Infested Captain leads a Sultai midrange deck that synergizes counter manipulation with token generation. The primary strategy builds a resilient board state by creating high-impact creature tokens-such as copies of Chronozoa, 9/9 Krakens from Spawning Kraken, or Marit Lage from Dark Depths-and proliferating +1/+1, charge, and poison counters across permanents and opponents. Xavier accelerates this game plan by removing time and ice counters to populate tokens and sacrificing disposable bodies to proliferate. Win conditions include overwhelming combat damage from pumped token swarms, massive flying beaters, drain effects from Mirkwood Bats, or accumulating lethal poison counters.
