Deck overview

This is a dedicated Mardu Vampire tribal deck helmed by Licia, Sanguine Tribune. The primary game plan is to deploy a wide army of Vampire creatures, pump them with lords and anthems, and leverage lifelink and drain effects (Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Blood Artist) to convert life gain into direct damage. The commander's cost reduction from life gained and her ability to put +1/+1 counters on herself make her a resilient threat, but the deck does not rely on her to function. It wins through overwhelming combat damage supplemented by incidental life loss, with Bolas's Citadel serving as a secondary engine. The deck lacks fast combo lines and instead aims for a midrange attrition plan.
