Commander: Muldrotha, the Gravetide

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a classic Sultai graveyard value deck helmed by Muldrotha, the Gravetide, the format's premier permanent-type recursion engine. The strategy revolves around filling the graveyard early with self-mill (Stitcher's Supplier, Skull Prophet) and then deploying Muldrotha to replay lands, mana dorks, and key permanents each turn. The deck generates overwhelming card advantage through Consecrated Sphinx, Necropotence, and Peer into the Abyss, while Cabal Coffers turns that card advantage into massive black mana. Primary win conditions are the X-spell finishers Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate; secondary paths include Villainous Wealth for theft value and a token rush from Army of the Damned. The deck functions as a grindy midrange control shell that aims to outlast opponents with relentless recursion before delivering a one-shot mana sink.
