Deck overview

This mono-black cEDH deck leverages K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to convert life into black mana, accelerating explosive reanimator combo kills as early as Turns 1–3. The deck utilizes dense fast mana—including Dark Ritual, Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, and Lion's Eye Diamond—to deploy K'rrik ahead of curve. Once K'rrik is on the battlefield, black mana symbols on spells and activated abilities are paid with two life instead of mana, drastically discounting tutors and combo enablers. The primary win line uses Buried Alive to place Necrotic Ooze, Asmodeus the Archfiend, and Skirge Familiar into the graveyard, followed by a cheap reanimation spell like Reanimate or Shallow Grave. Necrotic Ooze draws the entire library and generates massive mana by discarding cards, allowing loops of Gray Merchant of Asphodel via Chainer, Dementia Master to drain the entire table in a single turn. Backup lines through Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Hoarding Broodlord, and Necropotence ensure relentless lethality.
