Deck overview

Teysa Karlov commands an Orzhov Aristocrats deck designed to grind opponents down through doubled death triggers, token swarms, and life drain. The deck develops by establishing low-cost fodder generators such as Ophiomancer and Doomed Traveler, sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar, and drain payoffs including Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant. Casting Teysa on Turn 4 doubles all death-triggered abilities, magnifying card draw, mana generation, and damage output. By Turn 6, the deck achieves critical onset by sacrificing expansive token boards created by Elenda, the Dusk Rose or Thalisse, Reverent Medium, draining opponents for significant life totals. It typically closes the game on Turn 7 through decisive mass sacrifices. While the deck possesses immense functional redundancy and robust recovery, it lacks stack-based protection and remains highly vulnerable to exile-based board wipes and graveyard replacement effects like Rest in Peace that prevent death triggers.
