Commander: Captain America, Team Leader

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is an aggressive Jeskai Hero-tribal deck built around Captain America, Team Leader as a haste-and-counter engine. Every other Hero that enters gains vigilance, haste, and a +1/+1 counter, while Captain America, Team Leader grows alongside the board. That turns the deck into a go-wide combat deck with a heavy "modified" subtheme: counters, Equipment, and Auras turn on Akki Battle Squad, War Machine, Avenging Arsenal, Arana, Heart of the Spider, and SP//dr, Piloted by Peni. Card flow comes from Jarvis, Earth's Mightiest Butler, Kindred Discovery, Avengers Assemble!, and attack-triggered dig effects like Director Nick Fury and Daredevil, Man Without Fear. Wins are almost entirely combat damage, accelerated by Akki Battle Squad's extra combat step and War Machine, Avenging Arsenal's double strike, with Captain America, Wings of Freedom serving as the alpha-strike team pump. There are no infinite combos in the 99; the deck wins by converting a wide, hasty Hero board into repeated-and ideally doubled-combat steps.
