Deck overview

This Bant deck combines combat tempo, hatebear disruption, and token-based aggro led by Derevi, Empyrial Tactician. The primary game plan accelerates early mana through efficient dorks and establishes proactive disruption with Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Collector Ouphe. Derevi, Empyrial Tactician weaponizes small attackers by turning every unblocked combat hit into mana untaps or defensive taps against opposing blockers. Card advantage engines such as Edric, Spymaster of Trest and Toski, Bearer of Secrets replenish the hand as wide token generators like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Koma, Cosmos Serpent expand the board state. Once critical mass is reached, decisive finishers like Moonshaker Cavalry and Akroma's Will provide the evasion and power necessary to eliminate all three opponents across two rapid combat steps.
