Deck overview

This Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck is a high-octane Grixis Wheel Storm and Combo list optimized for competitive Commander. The deck aims to accelerate rapidly into game-ending draw-punishment engines or an Underworld Breach loop. By combining fast mana artifacts and rituals with redundant wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Time Spiral, the deck turns symmetrical card draw into lethal asymmetric damage through Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Orcish Bowmasters. Alternatively, it can execute an instant-win storm line utilizing Underworld Breach, Lion's Eye Diamond, and Brain Freeze. Backed by a premier free counterspell package including Force of Will, Deflecting Swat, and Fierce Guardianship, along with uncounterable tech in Hexing Squelcher and Mistrise Village, the deck boasts high resilience and blistering Turn 3 velocity. It thoroughly dismantles opposing hands while racing to close out the game in a single explosive turn.
