Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Orzhov lifegain and attrition midrange strategy commanded by Sorin of House Markov // Sorin, Ravenous Neonate. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost lifelink creatures and extort permanents to enable an early transformation of Sorin into a planeswalker. Once transformed, Sorin creates Food tokens and weaponizes life gain into direct single-target damage. The midgame leverages powerful card-advantage engines like Black Market Connections, Greed, and Well of Lost Dreams, converting excess life totals into continuous card flow and board development. In the late game, the deck turns life gain into a lethal clock using mirrored drain payoffs such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, Defiant Bloodlord, and Exsanguinate. While the deck lacks fast mana, infinite combos, and tutor packages, it boasts high internal synergy, steady card flow, and resilient reanimation options that outlast opponents through attrition.
