Deck overview

This is a mono-red extra-combat deck helmed by Combustion Man, whose attack trigger forces an opponent to sacrifice a permanent or take damage equal to his power. The deck's primary plan is to generate massive amounts of red mana during combat via firebending (Zuko, Firebending Master, Sozin's Comet), landfall triggers (Moraug, Fury of Akoum), and rituals (Mana Geyser, Pyretic Ritual), then chain multiple combat phases using a dense redundancy of extra-combat cards such as Combat Celebrant, Hellkite Charger, Aggravated Assault, and Full Throttle. The commander serves as both a removal engine and a finisher, but the deck can win entirely through other creatures, as the extra-combat loops scale regardless of who attacks. Haste enablers (Rising of the Day, The Fire Crystal, Lightning Greaves) ensure creatures can attack immediately, and damage doublers like Gratuitous Violence and Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor accelerate the clock.
