Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity cEDH Spellslinger Storm list commanded by Veyran, Voice of Duality. The primary strategy focuses on assembling an early win on Turn 3 via Underworld Breach, Lion's Eye Diamond, and Brain Freeze. By repeatedly escaping Lion's Eye Diamond for mana and Brain Freeze to mill cards, the deck generates infinite storm and self-mills its entire library. It then eliminates all three opponents in the same turn by casting Brain Freeze targeting each opponent, or finishing with Grapeshot and Aetherflux Reservoir. The mana base is heavily accelerated by format-ceiling fast mana rocks like Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, and Mana Vault, alongside cheap rituals and cost-reducing creatures. A robust suite of free and low-cost counterspells—including Force of Will, Deflecting Swat, Fierce Guardianship, and Flusterstorm—protects the combo turn and disrupts opposing wins. Backup plans center on Past in Flames, Birgi, God of Storytelling, and Storm-Kiln Artist to sustain manual storm turns without delay.
