Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck adapts the proliferate mechanic into an asymmetric creature control engine centered on stun counters. By pairing tap-on-entry stax pieces like Blind Obedience and Thalia, Heretic Cathar with targeted freezing spells, the deck locks opposing threats under stun counters that Atraxa continually refreshes each turn. Payoffs like Fear of Sleep Paralysis, Generous Patron, Verity Circle, and Solitary Sanctuary turn tap effects into card advantage, massive +1/+1 counters, and total creature paralysis. Without fast mana or nonland tutors, the deck deploys Atraxa on Turn 4 and builds toward a decisive board lock by Turn 6. The win condition progresses steadily through evasive combat damage, Mjölnir, Storm Hammer burn, and planeswalker loyalty ultimate abilities, securing victory around Turn 9.
