Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Lands and Landfall Midrange strategy piloted by The Gitrog Monster. Rather than pursuing competitive discard loops, it focuses on land velocity, self-mill, and recurring land drops to generate massive mana and overwhelming token swarms. Early turns deploy efficient ramp spells like Nature's Lore and Farseek to cast Gitrog on Turn 4. Once assembled, extra land plays and graveyard recursion from cards like Ramunap Excavator and Life from the Loam fuel card draw. By Turn 5, the deck transitions into a lethal threat using token producers such as Scute Swarm, Rampaging Baloths, and Baloth Prime, often amplified by mass ramp spells like Splendid Reclamation. The deck converts wide token boards into table eliminations across two response cycles using overrun finishers such as End-Raze Forerunners and Thunderfoot Baloth, closing the game on Turn 7.
