Deck overview

This Abzan deck helmed by Betor, Ancestor's Voice blends lifegain, life-loss synergies, reanimation, and aristocrats combo lines. In the early turns, the deck deploys efficient ramp and card engines such as Sylvan Library and Black Market Connections, paying life aggressively to accelerate card flow while priming Betor's end-step reanimation condition. In the midgame, it transitions from value recursion—looping utility creatures like Spore Frog or Archon of Cruelty—into deterministic infinite combos. Its primary win condition resolves via a sacrificed Protean Hulk pulling Warren Soultrader, Blood Artist, and Gravecrawler directly to the battlefield, enabling an unbounded life-draining sacrifice loop. Alternatively, the deck can finish games through Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. While vulnerable to instant-speed graveyard hate and targeted removal, its dense redundancy and reanimation density make it highly resilient.
