Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-power mono-black combo deck helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. The plan weaponizes life as mana: once K'rrik is down, every black pip can be paid with 2 life, turning the dense ritual, tutor, and reanimation suite into an explosive storm turn. Primary wins are library-empty kills with Doctor Doom, Unrivaled plus Demonic Consultation, life-drain finishes via Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Peer into the Abyss under Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and graveyard assembly lines through Buried Alive/Entomb into Necrotic Ooze, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, or Hoarding Broodlord. Necropotence, Yawgmoth's Will, and a deep fast-mana package (Lion's Eye Diamond, Mana Vault, moxen) supply the fuel. The commander is a powerful accelerator rather than a hard lock-piece; the 99 already contains complete tutor-reanimate and Consultation lines.
