Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari graveyard and token swarm strategy led by The Mycotyrant. The central game plan uses self-mill, dredge, and sacrifice engines to trigger the descend mechanic multiple times each turn. This rapidly generates an army of 1/1 Fungus tokens on each end step while increasing the power and toughness of the commander and undergrowth creatures like Golgari Grave-Troll. The deck converts these wide boards into victories using mass pump spells such as Beastmaster Ascension and Overwhelming Stampede, or through direct life drain via Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Cauldron of Essence. High-quality Golgari interaction like Assassin's Trophy and Culling Ritual clears opposing threats and accelerates mana. With abundant recursion and dredge mechanics, the deck recovers quickly from removal, making it a resilient and aggressive midrange engine.
