Deck overview

Koh, the Face Stealer headlines a versatile mono-black deck that blends board control, ability copying, and lethal life-total manipulation. Koh exiles dying creatures to acquire their activated and triggered abilities, turning opposing threats and your own utility creatures into reusable engines. The primary path to victory involves reducing opponents life totals with Tree of Perdition or pumping Wall of Blood to lethal power before converting it into direct damage using Rite of Consumption. Alternatively, Dark Depths combines with Thespians Stage or Mutated Cultist to quickly spawn a 20/20 Marit Lage token. Extensive creature removal and sweepers maintain control while assembling these explosive lines.
