Deck overview

This Orzhov list is a highly tuned Reanimator/Stax/Combo deck helmed by Squall, SeeD Mercenary. While Squall offers an on-board combat-reanimation engine and double strike for an alone attacker, the deck's real power lives in the 99: a blistering fast-mana suite, an elite tutor package, and multiple compact infinite combos. The strategy blends early hatebears (Drannith Magistrate, Archon of Emeria) to tax opponents, efficient graveyard filling via Entomb and Buried Alive, and rapid combo assembly through Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor. Primary wins come from reanimation loops (e.g., Leonin Relic-Warder + Animate Dead) that exile all nonland permanents, with The Meathook Massacre or Susurian Voidborn as drain payoffs. The low curve and dense interaction allow it to race combo decks or grind through midrange.
