Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Dimir engine built around Hidetsugu and Kairi. The primary game plan accelerates into the five-mana commander, uses its enter-the-battlefield ability to stack an expensive instant or sorcery on top of the library, and then creates a token copy using clone spells. Because of the legend rule, the clone immediately dies, triggering massive direct life loss and casting the stacked spell for free. Heavy sorceries like Aminatou's Augury and Army of the Damned flood the board with decisive advantage, closing the game across subsequent combat steps. The deck features functional redundancy among clones and reanimation enablers, supported by efficient reactive countermagic. Its main limitations stem from the absence of unconditional tutors and vulnerability to exile-based removal targeting the commander before it dies.
