Deck overview

This Gruul deck uses Xenagos, God of Revels to transform high-cost, high-power creatures into immediate lethal threats. The game plan focuses on rapid mana acceleration during the opening turns to deploy Xenagos ahead of schedule, followed by massive trample threats like Plated Crusher, Darksteel Colossus, and Rampaging Baloths. Xenagos provides immediate haste and doubles the power of entering behemoths, preventing opponents from stabilizing with sorcery-speed removal. The primary win condition is overwhelming combat damage, accelerated by damage triplers like Fiery Emancipation, extra combats from Desert Were-Worm, and high-impact board floods using Genesis Wave and Wild Pair to close out the table.
