Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest leads a Jeskai spellslinger strategy focused on legendary Wizards and explosive noncreature spells. The deck curves out low-cost legendary Wizards like Vivi Ornitier, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Kaza, Roil Chaser to build board presence. When Gandalf enters combat, his ability checks your legendary Wizard count to cast massive instants and sorceries from hand for free, such as Aminatou's Augury, Inspired Ultimatum, and extra-turn spells. Winning lines involve chaining extra turns, casting overwhelming copied spells via Mnemonic Deluge or Mizzix's Mastery, and alpha striking opponents with massive team-wide power buffs from Balmor and Adeliz, the Cinder Wind.
