Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu Vampire Tribal Aggro deck commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's Eminence ability to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever a Vampire creature spell is cast, creating a wide battlefield without needing to cast the commander early. The low mana curve allows rapid deployment across the first three turns. The deck converts this token swarm into lethal pressure using tribal anthems, lords like Stromkirk Captain and Legion Lieutenant, and explosive enchantments such as Shared Animosity and Coat of Arms. Direct life-drain effects like Sanctum Seeker and Malakir Bloodwitch provide non-combat reach around heavy blockers. While highly explosive in creature combat, the deck lacks mana acceleration artifacts, repeatable card draw engines, and noncreature removal, making it reliant on fast early starts and vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
