Deck overview

This deck is a four-color storm combo strategy built around Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder. The game plan accelerates mana in the early turns using mana dorks, rocks, and rituals to deploy Yidris ahead of curve. Once Yidris connects with combat damage, every spell cast from hand gains cascade, creating an explosive turn where cheap spells cast free spells from the library. This massive spell velocity easily builds a high storm count to win on the spot with Aetherflux Reservoir or Ral, Storm Conduit. Even if Yidris is removed or blocked, the deck retains independent paths to victory through Bolas's Citadel, reanimating Tidespout Tyrant, or looping Birgi, God of Storytelling with Grinning Ignus. A flexible suite of protective equipment and counterspells keeps the combo protected during the critical turn.
