Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari token-aristocrats deck built to maximize the universal token doubling of Chatterfang, Squirrel General. Almost every token producer in the 99 - from Squirrel Nest and Scurry Oak to Hazel of the Rootbloom and Academy Manufactor - gets an extra 1/1 Squirrel added on top, and those Squirrels simultaneously feed Pitiless Plunderer, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and Skullclamp. The deck wins primarily by stabilizing into a token engine, converting that into infinite or arbitrarily large Squirrel armies, and then finishing through drain payoffs, Chatterfang, Squirrel General's massive sacrifice ability, or a combat swarm. It is a middle-speed, heavily synergistic deck with many redundant token loops but low tutor density, so it executes best when it is left to build the board through natural draws rather than assemble a single linear combo.
