Deck overview

This deck is a classic Golgari midrange reanimator strategy piloted by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The primary plan revolves around sacrificing small utility creatures and Eldrazi Spawn tokens to build experience counters, then using Meren's end-step trigger to repeatedly reanimate high-impact threats and value creatures directly from the graveyard. Early turns focus on accelerating mana and filling the graveyard using cards like Buried Alive, Rampant Growth, and Carrier Thrall. By turn 6, the deck leverages recurring threats such as Ulamog's Crusher, Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal, and Rampaging Baloths to establish lethal board presence while draining life totals with Zulaport Cutthroat and Cauldron of Essence. While vulnerable to instant-speed graveyard exile and repeated board wipes, the deck maintains steady recovery through alternative reanimation spells and redundant token generation engines.
