Edgar by IndCast

Format: Commander

Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Edgar Markov's Eminence gives the deck a free Vampire token on every Vampire spell, so the primary plan is to curve cheap Vampires into lords and anthems-Legion Lieutenant, Captivating Vampire, Shared Animosity, Banner of Kinship-then finish with a huge combat step. The secondary, faster kill is an infinite life-drain loop using Marauding Blight-Priest or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose (the deck's de facto hidden commander) with Bloodthirsty Conqueror or Exquisite Blood, seeded by any life-loss trigger. Edgar usually stays in the command zone; when cast, his haste attack trigger turns a wide board into a lethal clock. Tutors and draw engines find both lines.
