Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Zombie Aristocrats strategy helmed by Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate. The primary game plan revolves around casting Alesha on curve, attacking to grow her power with +1/+1 counters, and utilizing her Raid trigger at the end step to repeatedly recur high-impact Zombie creatures from the graveyard. Early turns focus on filling the graveyard with self-sacrificing edict creatures like Accursed Marauder and Fleshbag Marauder, establishing repeatable board control while drawing cards through Undead Augur and Midnight Reaper. As Alesha's power scales, the deck transitions into devastating mid-game payoffs, recurring Gray Merchant of Asphodel or casting mass reanimation spells like Zombie Apocalypse and Necromantic Selection. Without fast infinite combos, the deck grinds down opposing life totals through steady combat damage and compounding aristocrat drain triggers from Ayara, First of Locthwain and Zulaport Cutthroat, reliably closing games around Turn 8.
