Deck overview

This is a five-color "Battle tribal" build helmed by Kenrith, the Returned King. The plan is to chain Siege battles, flip them into their powerful back faces, and use Kenrith as a mana sink for haste, trample, reanimation, and repeatable card draw. Early turns deploy cheap sieges like Invasion of Gobakhan // Lightshield Array and Invasion of Ergamon // Truga Cliffcharger to smooth draws and fix mana; mid-game Begin the Invasion and Invasion of Alara // Awaken the Maelstrom create explosive card-advantage swings. The back faces - Leyline Surge, Ephara, Ever-Sheltering, Awaken the Maelstrom, and Teferi Akosa of Zhalfir - grind out tokens, recursion, and removal. The deck closes by overwhelming the table with a wide token board plus Etali, Primal Storm and a hasted Combat Celebrant extra combat, or by copying a huge Comet Storm. It is a value-engine deck rather than a combo deck; its strength is inevitability through battle ETBs, its weakness is a near-total lack of stack interaction.
