Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages the unique relentless density of 23 copies of Sphinx's Approach combined with the eminence ability of The Ur-Sphinx. Early turns focus on establishing 2-CMC mana rocks and chaining instant-speed draw spells. Once five copies of Sphinx's Approach are cast and exiled from the graveyard, the deck tutors game-ending Sphinxes such as Magister Sphinx, Medomai the Ageless, and Sphinx of the Steel Wind directly onto the battlefield. Supported by efficient interaction like Fierce Guardianship, Mana Drain, and Swords to Plowshares, the deck controls the stack while steadily eliminating opponents through massive flying combat damage and life-setting triggers.
