Deck overview

Nezahal, Primal Tide anchors a mono-blue control deck built around massive card draw, stack dominance, and hand-size payoffs. The commander itself is an uncounterable 7/7 that draws a card each time an opponent casts a noncreature spell, and it can dodge removal by exiling itself. The deck aims to control the board with a dense counterspell and bounce suite, refill its hand through engines like Mystic Remora, Faerie Mastermind, and Reed Richards, Smartest Man, then finish with Psychosis Crawler (draining opponents on each draw), Alandra, Sky Dreamer (making a flying army), or Mathemagics (drawing an exponential number of cards to trigger the Crawler). Body of Knowledge and Chasm Skulker provide beatdown alternatives. With no traditional tutors, the deck relies on sheer draw volume to find its win conditions, making consistency middling but resilience and interaction exceptionally high.
