Deck overview

This deck is a Boros Horse, Pegasus, and Mount typal aggressive midrange list built around Shadowfax, Lord of Horses. Shadowfax provides haste to itself and fellow Horses, allowing it to attack the turn it lands and cheat creature cards with power 3 or less straight into play tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Thurid, Mare of Destiny, Mirror Entity, and Calamity, Galloping Inferno multiply board presence and scale combat damage quickly. To support this creature strategy, the deck runs a surprisingly dense interaction suite featuring nine sweepers such as Austere Command and Vanquish the Horde, paired with hate pieces like Boromir, Warden of the Tower and Vexing Bauble. While the deck reliably deploys its commander on Turn 4 or 5 and creates must-answer pressure by Turn 6, its reliance on fair combat damage across 120 total life requires three full response cycles to close games, making it vulnerable to opposing board wipes.
