Format: Commander

Commander: Xenagos, God of Revels

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Xenagos, God of Revels turns Gruul ramp into explosive combat turns. The deck's primary plan is to deploy a large creature ahead of curve, then have Xenagos double its power and give it haste, turning one attack into a one-shot. Secondary plans chain extra combat phases using Bloodthirster, Karlach, Scourge of the Throne, and Moraug, and convert high power into cards and mana with draw engines plus Klauth/Old Gnawbone. A hidden value engine is Ojer Kaslem, Deepest Growth, which acts as a creature and later a transforming land. Finishing is usually a giant alpha strike through Pathbreaker Ibex, or Chandra's Ignition on a 48-power Ghalta.
