Deck overview

This five-color combo deck is centered on Codie, Ravenous Codex and creatures featuring the prepare mechanic. By utilizing multi-color mana dorks such as Bloom Tender and Faeburrow Elder, the deck accelerates into Codie by Turn 3 or 4. Once Codie activates for {W}{U}{B}{R}{G}, all creatures on the battlefield become prepared. Casting these prepared instant and sorcery spells triggers Codie's ability to duplicate them, creating massive bursts of card advantage, mana generation, and Magecraft triggers through cards like Archmage Emeritus and Storm-Kiln Artist. The deck closes out the game in a single explosive turn using infinite untap or flicker loops with Chakram Retriever or Displacer Kitten, channeling infinite mana into repeated burn spells like Emeritus of Conflict // Lightning Bolt. Supported by an optimized five-color manabase and efficient interaction, the deck operates as a potent spell-slinging engine.
