Deck overview

This Simic deck is a dedicated Sea Monster tribal stompy strategy commanded by Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep. The game plan accelerates mana on early turns using land-based ramp spells, deploying Kiora on Turn 4 with built-in ward protection. From Turn 5 onward, casting massive Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents triggers Kiora's pseudo-cascade ability to cast free spells straight from the top of the library. This rapidly builds overwhelming board presence while triggering high-power draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Up the Beanstalk. Critical onset arrives on Turn 6, utilizing asymmetric sweepers such as Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets alongside evasion from Serpent of Yawning Depths and token swarms from Spawning Kraken to close the game across Turns 7 and 8. A dense suite of efficient counterspells and protective instants defends the board against sweepers.
