Thrasios/Sakashima 10.08.26 by user5448523

Format: Commander

Commander: Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Thrasios, Triton Hero

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Simic value-and-landfall deck helmed by the partner pair of Thrasios, Triton Hero and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces. The primary game plan is to ramp aggressively, deploy a dense landfall engine (Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, Tatyova, Benthic Druid, Oracle of Mul Daya, Lotus Cobra), and convert that into overwhelming card advantage and board presence. Thrasios serves as a repeatable draw engine in the command zone, while Sakashima bypasses the legend rule to copy premium value pieces - most notably Thrasios himself for doubled draw. The deck wins through combat: a Scute Swarm/Avenger of Zendikar landfall swarm, a giant Ancient Adamantoise or Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle, or a kicked Rite of Replication turning one payoff into five. There are no infinite combos; this is a midrange value pile that wins by drowning opponents in lands, cards, and tokens.
