Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red spellslinger and aggro-voltron deck commanded by Cleon, Merry Champion. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Cleon early and targeting him with low-cost pump spells and cantrips. Cleon's double strike allows power boosts like Bulk Up, Titan's Strength, and Monstrous Rage to quickly scale into lethal commander damage, while his Heroic ability exiles cards from the top of the library to maintain hand velocity. Secondary burn creatures including Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Longshot, Rebel Bowman apply steady chip damage across the entire table whenever spells are cast. The deck features strong redundancy in combat tricks, velocity through rummaging, and explosive finishing reach via Fling and Thud. It is most vulnerable to instant-speed spot removal targeting Cleon during combat and lacks answers to resolved enchantments.
