Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender leads an aggressive lands-matter deck that animates its mana base into resilient, hasty attackers through the earthbend mechanic. By turning nontoken artifacts into lands, Toph broadens your ramp infrastructure and consistently activates end-step earthbending triggers. The primary strategy ramps aggressively to flood the board with animated lands, scaling up their power using +1/+1 counter and landfall payoffs. The deck closes out games via overwhelming combat damage accelerated by extra combat steps from Moraug, Fury of Akoum or Bumi, Unleashed, critical mass overrun attacks granting double strike via Toph, Greatest Earthbender, or resilient combo loops with Springheart Nantuko.
