Deck overview

This is an Izzet big-mana control-tempo list helmed by Shantotto, Tactician Magician. The plan is to ramp into expensive noncreature spells, using each cast to pump Shantotto, Tactician Magician, draw cards off her threshold, and feed permanent engines that mint flying tokens and value. Interaction is dense and mostly reactive-counters, bounce, and selective wipes keep the table honest while the deck banks mana and card advantage. Primary wins come from a suddenly enormous commander (often with evasion from Teleportal), wide token boards off Shark Typhoon and Metallurgic Summonings, multi-combat finishes via Full Throttle, and direct damage from Jaya's Immolating Inferno, leveled Sorcerer Class, or Burning Anger. There are no infinite combos; the deck grinds and then closes with a decisive combat or burn turn once mana and engines are online.
