Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive tempo and burn engine centered on Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan deploys cheap, evasive 0- and 1-mana creatures on the opening turn, enabling Turn 2 Commander Ninjutsu to cheat Yuriko onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Yuriko's combat damage trigger simultaneously draws cards and inflicts massive life loss on all three opponents by revealing high-mana-value cards like Shadow of Mortality, Temporal Trespass, and Dig Through Time. Because Ninjutsu circumvents commander tax and timing restrictions, the deck maintains persistent momentum. A deep suite of free and alternate-cost interaction—including Force of Negation, Deadly Rollick, Snuff Out, and Flare of Denial—protects the board and disrupts opposing combos without slowing down combat development. Supplemented by asymmetric stax elements like Cursed Totem, Back to Basics, and Winter Moon, the deck chokes opponent resources while burning the table to zero by Turn 5.
