Deck overview

This Orzhov deck uses Liesa, Forgotten Archangel as an asymmetric graveyard denial engine and creature recursion source. The primary game plan revolves around life gain and life drain synergies, aiming to assemble an infinite combo using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with a life-gain-to-damage converter like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest. Supported by strong functional redundancy and black tutors, the deck reliably achieves its setup by turn 5. While assembling its win condition, the deck controls the battlefield with efficient spot removal such as Swords to Plowshares and Deadly Rollick, tempo tax enchantments like Blind Obedience, and board wipes like Toxic Deluge. Although it lacks deep stack interaction against opposing noncreature combos, its high permanent redundancy and low-cost recursion allow it to rebuild rapidly and close out games in a single deterministic turn.
