Hornburg Hero by guishedfoobi

Format: Commander

Commander: Aragorn, Hornburg Hero

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Naya +1/+1 counters aggro-value deck built around the exponential combat growth of Aragorn, Hornburg Hero. Aragorn hands every attacker first strike and renown 1, then doubles the counters on every renowned creature that connects - so the deck's game plan is to flood the board with counter-matters creatures, swing once to "ignite" the renown engine, and then compound 5/5s into 20/20s over the following combat steps. The primary win is a single overwhelming combat step (typically with Akroma's Will or Blade Historian) backed by incidental table-wide burn from Shalai and Hallar and All Will Be One pinging off every counter placement. The 99 contains no infinite combos; instead Kalonian Hydra, Sovereign Okinec Ahau, and Ouroboroid provide repeatable doubling engines that make the board lethal on their own.
