Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar with the Background Master Chef to blend massive card advantage with infinite persist combos. The early turns focus on deploying 1- and 2-mana ramp to establish both commanders on curve alongside oversized, undercosted creatures like Daemogoth Titan and Daemogoth Woe-Eater. Sacrificing these creatures to Shadowheart draws up to 11 cards in a single burst, immediately digging into the deck's core combo pieces. Master Chef enters with +1/+1 counters and distributes counters to entering creatures, which permanently cancels the -1/-1 counters from persist creatures such as Putrid Goblin, Puppeteer Clique, and Woodfall Primus. Combining a persist creature with Warren Soultrader and an aristocrat drain effect like Blood Artist or Bastion of Remembrance produces infinite mana and drains the table. Backed by versatile Golgari removal and extensive graveyard reanimation, the deck transitions from value generation to instant-speed table kills.
