Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy commanded by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The core plan involves filling the graveyard with self-mill, sacrificing utility creatures for early ramp, and steadily building experience counters. By Turn 4, Meren enters to establish an active recursion loop, repeatedly buying back utility pieces like Sakura-Tribe Elder, Spore Frog, or Accursed Marauder to suppress opposing boards while generating mana and card advantage. The deck transitions toward a decisive finish around Turn 6 by accessing large graveyard-scaling threats or mass reanimation. Its primary win line pairs Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord with Lord of Extinction, allowing an activated ability sacrifice that drains each opponent simultaneously for lethal life loss. Alternative routes leverage Living Death or Syr Konrad, the Grim to overwhelm the table. Because experience counters stay with the player, the deck recovers rapidly from removal and maintains relentless attrition.
