Deck overview

This Boros deck is an aggressive Equipment Voltron build centered on Lightning, Army of One. Lightning provides exceptional combat efficiency with built-in first strike, trample, and lifelink, while her signature Stagger ability doubles all subsequent damage dealt to damaged opponents and their permanents. The deck leverages an extensive equipment tutoring suite including Open the Armory, Fighter Class, and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary alongside equip-cost reducers like Sigarda's Aid, Forge Anew, and Puresteel Paladin. By equipping powerful armaments such as Colossus Hammer, Commander's Plate, and Sword of Feast and Famine, the deck creates lethal commander damage bursts starting on Turn 4. Extensive protection spells and Sunforger utility help shield the commander, while backup creatures like Kellan, the Fae-Blooded and Danitha, Benalia's Hope ensure resilience if Lightning is removed.
